Science Museum Oklahoma
This is our favorite Saturday morning activity. You can spend all day in this place and still not see and try everything. We get there early to avoid the crowds.Â
Tip from a local: Don’t skip the shows. They never disappoint.

If observing the animals isn't enough, you can ride a camel, feed a giraffe, feed the rhinos, touch a sting ray, or get splashed by a sea lion.
Tip from a local: Buy your tickets online and skip the lines.
Scissortail Park has food trucks, lawn concerts, a children's playground, a lake, and other entertainment. And they have rollerskating, y'all. Rollerskating. Check it out.
Tip from a local: Check out the Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.
There are always activities going on at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. In the summer, try out the full moon bike rides with the other locals. Or try the ice rink in the winter.
Tip from a local: My kids love the splash pad and playground area.
Ride the water taxi down or just eat at one of the many restaurants along the canal. There's also shopping, and I hear the OKC nightlife be poppin'. But I go to bed at 10 pm so I wouldn't know anything about that.
Tip from a local: Dustin and I got engaged by the canal in 2004.
